Lauren A. Dean, a founding partner of Magnanimo Dean Law, APC, is an experienced attorney who has successfully litigated numerous employment cases, obtaining favorable results for her clients. Ms. Dean handles employment disputes involving claims for retaliation, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, harassment and hostile work environment based on race, gender, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, mental and physical disability, age and religion, breach of contract, wage and hour violations, whistleblowing, violation of the Family Medical Leave Act, California Family Rights Act claims, and/or Pregnancy Disability Leave Act, violation of the right to privacy, defamation and fraud.

Prior to forming Magnanimo Dean Law, APC, Ms. Dean was a partner at Appleton, Magnanimo & Dean, LLP. She has also worked at the Los Angeles office of the national law firm, Epstein Becker & Green PC; the Los Angeles office of the national law firm, Jackson Lewis, and, the labor and employment law boutique, Goldstein, Kennedy & Petito. As an attorney with these firms, Ms. Dean successfully defended clients before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by obtaining “no cause” findings. She also obtained summary judgment in favor of various clients on claims of disability discrimination, sex discrimination, and retaliation.

Ms. Dean is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California Employment Lawyers Association. Ms. Dean is licensed to practice before the courts of California; the U.S. District Court for the Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Judicial Circuit. Ms. Dean graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
